With the general setting of beautiful beaches and countryside, a fascinating history, and famous gastronomy, your incentive is sure to be an extraordinary experience from start to end. We can theme your event completely or subtly insert elements into the program. There are many aspects of Sicily that we can use as an incentive concept. To give you some ideas:
Etna Volcano is the highest active Volcano in Europe a must-see for those staying near Catania and Taormina. Explore mythical Mt Etna by 4-wheel drive, quad, buggy or hiking: an unforgettable experience where our knowledgeable and passionate guides will take you off-road to show you how Sicilians have lived for generations under the smoking volcano Mt. Etna. Sip mineral rich wine from hillside vineyards and walk over dried lava flows. Enter a lava cave or circle the top by helicopter. Etna is a spectacular backdrop for any event.
The Godfather movies
‘An offer you can’t refuse’. The world’s fascination with the Sicilian mafia continues; learn about its history in the evocative atmosphere of its birth land. Visit medieval hilltop villages, birth town of Vito Corleone, chauffeured in vintage cars, self-drive with the famous Fiat 500, or go rough with 4×4 Land Rovers. Walk through the movie’s settings and see a part of Sicily away from the tourist trail. Enjoy a gala dinner at “The Godfather Villa” famous for its appearance in the movie trilogy. Indulge in a Sicilian feast in the evocative atmosphere of the castle while accompanied by Godfather theme music, Sicilian folk music or Pietro Mascagni’s famous opera ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’. Take part in a Mafia themed treasure hunt or Murder Mystery game with actors or film your own scenes where Francis Ford Coppola once stood with Al Pacino.
Adrenaline, action, fun and adventure sports
Strengthen your team’s skills in a team building activity with action, adventure or fun activities. Conquer Sicily’s rough landscape by 4-wheel drive, mountain bike, trekking, helicopters, quad bikes or buggies.. Cool down at the Mediterranean sea with some para flying, jet skiing , water skiing wake boarding or kite surfing. Enjoy the thrill of body rafting, tubing or rafting in the gorges of the Alcantara river. We also use sports as a metaphor for formative team building events with professional top-sport coaches and trainers involving go cart racing, kite surfing, multisport activities, adventure parks, car racing or mountain biking. Lift everyone’s spirits with a helicopter flight over the smoking peak of Mt Etna or around the Aeolian Islands and discover Taormina, Catania or the small hill-top villages with a murder mystery game, treasure hunt or cooking activity.
Rural Sicilian experience
Get back to basics and spend time in Sicily’s beautiful countryside, away from the tourist hubs. Taste delicious local produce along the way or make your own wine, olive oil or limoncello. Feast in country taverns set amongst the fertile valleys and tranquil hillsides of vineyards and orchards. Food may not be the primary reason to visit Sicily but for many it becomes the unquestioned highlight! Get your team working together while having a great day out in the beautiful countryside by picking olives, grapes or lemons. After the day’s work is over, you can relax and build your strength with a barbeque in the countryside or a pizza making feast. Learn to make ricotta cheese with the shepherds and indulge in the secrets of the Sicilian kitchen joining the ‘la mamma’ making fresh pasta. Taste DOC wines from the various Sicilian regions or the sweet Marsala wine from Cantine Florio, as Sicily is one of Europe’s top wine producing regions.
Sailing between the islands
Discover the Sicilian coast and Aeolian islands by luxury sailing yachts, a traditional gullet or by speed boats. Anchor in tranquil bays, soak in the sun, swim, dive, snorkel and relax . Challenge you team’s competitive skills in a sailing regatta in a fleet race or match race with Olympic sailing champions . The Aeolian Islands are a group of seven islands, and one of the most beautiful sailing grounds in the world. By yacht, you can really enjoy the island’s breathtaking panoramas: colossal rocks and crags of various shapes and sizes jutting out of the sea, cliff faces topped by high pinnacles and charming inlets of turquoise water. Days can be spent relaxing on board or by the Mediterranean Sea or partaking in a myriad of island activities, including water sports, quad and Vespa rides, treks to prehistoric sites or bathing in hot mineral springs.
Island of Ancient Cultures
Sicily is a unique place full of art, archeology, folklore and breathtaking scenery and has attracted the attention of outsiders for more than 6000 years. Greek tyrants, Arab emirs, Norman knights, Byzantine bishops and Holy Roman Emperors have all added their stamp and made Sicily the place you see today. Sicily’s myriad of ancient cultures sets the background for an unforgettable event. A private concert at an archaeological site, a mystery tour to ancient graves, a conference in a medieval church or your business meeting in an Arab- Norman castle. In Sicily you find more remains of the Greek empire than you will find in the whole of Greece. Most famous are the Valley of the Temple in Agrigento, Segesta, Selinunte and Siracuse. Other cultural highlights are the Cathedral of Monreale, the Capella Palatina in Palermo and the famous mosaics of Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina.
‘Il Gattopardo’ and Sicilian princes
Escape into the world of Sicilian princes at a magical 18th century villa, taken straight from the pages of the literary classic ‘Il Gattopardo’, a testimony to Sicily’s fading aristocracy. Dine in splendour to the accompaniment of a private operetta from the famous Bellini Theatre. Enjoy the prestigious, baroque and private Palazzo Biscari in the heart of Catania or Palermo’s Palazzo Butera named “Domus magna alla Kalsa” in the 16th century. Dine and dance the evening away in lounges decorated with frescoes and bas-reliefs, magnificently furbished in the splendour of the Sicilian aristocracy. Celebrate at a private ‘ball dansant’ with costumes from the 18th century or give your evening a more modern twist transforming your “Baroque party” to ”Ba –rock party”.
